Parasite Title Sequence
This is a piece I created for my Motion Design Cinematography class, where we were tasked with creating or remaking a title sequence from a movie of our choice. I chose the South Korean film Parasite due to its powerful symbolism and layered narrative.

For this project, I wanted to focus primarily on the recurring visual symbols throughout the movie, such as the staircases, the contrasting homes, and the theme of class disparity, while also conveying the process and still shots that unfold within the story.
To bring these ideas to life, I used a thrifted mirror, a ring light, and a cell phone lens kit to create a unique and reflective environment. These tools allowed me to play with angles, reflections, and light in ways that mimic the layered complexity of the film’s visuals. The goal was to capture the sense of tension, secrecy, and class struggle that runs through Parasite while staying true to its minimalist yet impactful aesthetic. This project was a deep dive into how symbols and subtle imagery can convey powerful themes without overt explanation.
